Job Summary
Deliver direct oncology nursing care to adult inpatients, including comprehensive assessments, individualized care planning, and administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy and supportive therapies. Administer per protocols, manage central venous access devices, provide patient and family education, document in Epic, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams. Participate in quality and safety activities, infection prevention, and hazardous drug handling; support clinical research protocols as applicable; may serve as charge nurse or preceptor. Requires MA RN license, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification (or within 6 months), BLS; ACLS preferred. Night shift, 36 hours/week with rotating weekends, located in Boston-area hospitals under Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, Nursing. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred, and candidates with an associate degree must complete a BSN within 4 years.
- Current unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire (role-dependent).
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred depending on work area.
