Job Summary

Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse providing evidence-based cancer care across adult units, including chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration, central venous access care, patient and family education, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing care plans, adhering to protocols and safety standards (ONS, infection prevention, hazardous drug handling), documenting in Epic, participating in quality and safety activities, and supporting clinical research when applicable. May serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or mentor, with opportunities to contribute to throughput and outcomes improvements. Must hold an associate degree in nursing (BSN strongly preferred) and MA RN licensure; BLS required; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy cert required or obtained within 6 months of hire; OCN preferred. Shift: Nights; Schedule: 36 hours/week with rotating weekends; eligible for full-time benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Massachusetts RN license (unrestricted)
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • ONC/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire (role-dependent)
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
  • 1 year of recent RN experience preferred; oncology experience preferred
