Job Summary

RN in inpatient oncology delivering direct nursing care to adult patients, administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy, managing central venous access devices, providing patient/family education, and coordinating care across an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include adherence to oncology protocols and infection prevention standards, documentation in Epic, participation in quality/safety activities, potential role as charge nurse or preceptor, and support for clinical research protocols. Requires strong clinical judgment, proficiency with EMR (Epic), knowledge of hazardous drug handling, and commitment to culturally competent care in a magnet-designated cancer institute setting. Shift is Nights with a 36-hour week and rotating weekends; location at Chelsea, MA."

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • Massachusetts RN license required
  • Oncology/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire (role-dependent)
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on area
  • Epic experience preferred
  • BSN strongly preferred; BSN within 4 years if associate degree holder
  • Acute care nursing experience and oncology experience preferred
