Job Summary
Provide skilled in-home nursing care within RN scope of practice for clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities include tracheal suctioning as needed, administration of medications (oral, injectable, topical), wound care and dressing changes, monitoring vital signs, assessing changes in client condition, supporting chronic disease management, documenting nursing notes, and communicating health concerns to the healthcare team. Also provide daily living support, safety assistance, and emotional support—building therapeutic rapport and promoting dignity and independence. Collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, client-centered care. Shift options include 12-hour rotations (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am).
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in community, geriatrics, home care, or chronic care
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Must have experience with tracheal suctioning
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently
