Job Summary
RN in IMCU (Charlottesville, VA) on a full-time day shift (7AM-7PM) caring for patients on a telemetry/stroke–IMCU unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. Responsible for performing nursing care using the nursing process, adhering to standards of practice, and contributing to a supportive leadership team. Unit focuses on cardiac conditions including heart failure, rhythm disturbances, pacemakers/defibrillators, post-PCI/post-ablation, MI, TIA and acute stroke with opportunities for education and professional development. BSN/MSN preferred; BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 1 year of hire. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates; transition-to-practice programs and extensive benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (state of Virginia)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
- BSN or MSN preferred
- Experience in Acute/IMCU or Telemetry/Stroke unit preferred
- Certification in NICU/ICU-specific areas not required beyond stated prerequisites
