Job Summary
Conduct patient care and staff management in the Intermediate Care Unit, serving as Charge Nurse when assigned. Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure compliance and patient safety. Maintain a day shift, full-time schedule in Albuquerque, NM. Requires an Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing, a valid NM nursing license, and BLS certification within 14 days. Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is New Mexico's only hospital dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular care, including state-of-the-art hybrid operating rooms and LVAD implantation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Two (2) years of experience in the specialty
- 2 years of general nursing experience
