Registered Nurse (RN) II ICU, FT Nights

Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice to ensure safe, individualized patient care in the ICU. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and just-in-time patient teaching while documenting care and maintaining a respectful clinical environment. Mentor preceptors and staff, participate in shared governance activities, and lead performance improvement initiatives to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Adhere to Wellstar policies, TJC safety goals, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Requires 2+ years of direct patient care experience, current ACLS/BLS certification, and an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Diploma in Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Single State or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC-BLS)
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
