Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU with neonatal emphasis. Assesses the patient’s physical and psychosocial condition, develops an individualized plan of care, implements and coordinates care with the healthcare team, and evaluates outcomes for discharge readiness. Provides supervision of non-RN personnel, may serve as charge nurse, and functions as a preceptor to new staff. Demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management for neuro patients, and specialized procedures (e.g., suctioning for tracheostomy,” ventilator-related care). Requires BSN preferred education, 1 year of Neonatal ICU RN experience, and Connecticut RN licensure; BLS required; proficient with electronic patient records. Works under Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator supervision and supports unit policies to ensure high-quality patient care.
