Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU with neuro-focused nursing responsibilities. Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care on an ICU unit; supervises non‐RN personnel and may assume charge nurse duties. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care and airway management, including procedures like suctioning and care for trached patients, and participates in education after assessing learning needs. Requires NICU RN experience and BLS; BSN preferred; uses unit policies to coordinate care and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-level service.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- LICENSURE: Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Neonatal ICU RN experience
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records
- Strong patient-centered care
- Preceptor and charge nurse experience preferred
