Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN personnel, charge nurse duties, and potential cross-unit assignments. Develops, communicates and documents an individualized plan of care, collaborates with the healthcare team, educates patients and families, evaluates outcomes, and revises plans as needed. Functions as a preceptor to new staff and may assume charge nurse responsibilities. Requires competence in neuro assessment and care of neuro patients, including airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilation support, and specialized procedures. BLS required; BSN preferred; 1 year acute nursing experience required; CT RN license. Location in Nassau County, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 year acute nursing experience required
- BLS Required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- Proficient in use of computer software including Electronic Patient Records
