Job Summary
ICU RN role performing direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit with nursing process, initial and ongoing patient assessments, care planning, and coordination. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring nursing and support staff, determining staffing levels, floating between staff to address patient needs, assigning patient care to meet staffing needs, entering orders, admissions/discharges, coordinating transfers, ensuring equipment and supplies are available, and evaluating care effectiveness. Requires critical thinking and ability to work in a high-acuity environment. Schedule: full-time nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends; a $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants. Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred. Certifications: BLS required at hire; PALS required within 6 months. Licenses: RN license in Tennessee or a compact state with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- One year of direct ICU nursing experience in a high-acuity setting
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- BLS Certification required at time of hire; PALS required within 6 months
- Licensed RN in Tennessee orCompact State with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire
