Job Summary
Assess patient needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse groups, while utilizing the Nursing Process to deliver care and promote optimal outcomes. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Perform duties requiring exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications within a patient care area.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
