Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality direct and indirect, patient-centered care. Coordinate patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, communicating clinical conditions accurately, and responding quickly to changes in patient status. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care to the served population. Promote the nursing profession through collegial support and interactions. Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Shifts are every other weekend and every other holiday, consisting of two 8-hour shifts. Requires current Connecticut licensure, BLS, and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language
- Basic computer skills
- Availability for every other weekend and every other holiday 2 x 8hr shifts
