Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care, coordinating efforts with the interdisciplinary team. Communicate the patient's clinical condition accurately, responding quickly to changes in status or treatment response. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care to the served population. Promote the nursing profession through collegial support and interactions while reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications upon hire or during orientation. Shifts include every other weekend and holiday, with 2 x 8-hour rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language
- Basic computer skills
- Availability for every other weekend and every other holiday 2 x 8hr shifts
