Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. Coordinate patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and communicating clinical conditions accurately to respond to changes in status. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care to the patient population. Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager while maintaining clinical competency in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications. Work every other weekend and holiday shifts in the Greater Manchester Region, serving a community of 300,000 people through Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language
- Basic computer skills
- Availability for every other weekend and every other holiday 2 x 8hr shifts
