Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and document findings in electronic medical records while managing acute care patients in the ICU. Perform patient teaching, delegate tasks to coworkers, and function as a Charge Nurse when required to oversee admissions, discharges, and staff coverage. Maintain safety compliance through infection control protocols, equipment management, and crisis management procedures. Work nights from 7pm to 7:30am, rotating weekends and holidays, with a 36-hour weekly schedule. Obtain ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Washington State RN Licensure
- Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
- Manual dexterity, light physical effort, ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
- Physical strength to perform CPR (bed/floor), lift and push/pull 60 to 300 pounds (with assistance)
- Keen mental faculties to perform assessment and decision-making skills in the management of acutely ill patients
- Good reading eyesight

- Demonstrates competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum
- Demonstrates competency on equipment listed on department specific checklist

Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse
- Minimum one year of RN experience for specialty nursing departments
- ACLS (AHA Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- PALS (AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification obtained within 12 months of hire
- PEARS (AHA Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Moderate sedation training to be completed within 12 months of hire
- RN-C Preferred
