Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Float provides direct patient care on an ICU unit with responsibilities including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care; supervision of non-RN personnel; acting as charge nurse; and coordinating care. Demonstrates competence in neuro-focused care (neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, halo brace care, care of ventilated patients) and supports the institution’s teaching program. Responsibilities also include developing and documenting plans of care, collaborating with the health care team, and educating patients and families. Position involves mentoring new staff and contributing to smooth unit operations.
