Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float role requiring assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of patient care on a nursing unit. Provides guidance to non-RN staff, assumes charge responsibilities, and may work on other units as needed. Responsibilities include developing and documenting care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, providing education to patients and families, and ensuring readiness for discharge. Requires competency in neuro assessment and care of neuro patients, airway and suctioning techniques (including tracheostomy), and experience with ventilated patients. Education opportunities and ongoing professional development are emphasized. BSN is preferred; CT RN license is required per posting; BLS is required. 1 year of Neonatal ICU RN experience is specified, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and adherence to unit policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT RN)
- 1 year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- BSN preferred
- BLS Required
