Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Float provides direct patient care on neuro-focused units, assesses and plans care, delegates to non-RN staff, precepts new staff, and may serve as charge nurse. Responsibilities include ongoing patient condition assessment, care planning and documentation, collaboration with the healthcare team, discharge planning support, patient-family education, and participation in education and program initiatives (including the Tia Teaching Program). Demonstrates competencies in neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, care of trached patients, and ventilator care. Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing with BSN preferred, 1 year of acute nursing experience, and BLS; CT RN licensure noted in posting; critical care or emergency experience preferred.

- 1 Year acute nursing experience required
- LICENSURE Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
