Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) on ICU/Cardiac ICU units, providing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervising non-RN personnel on the unit; serving as a charge nurse and preceptor; developing and documenting plans of care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Requires BSN preferred and CT RN licensure; experience with neuro patients, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilated patients, and advanced cardiac care concepts is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
