Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float provides critical care across Neuro, Cardiac, and Cardiothoracic ICUs, assessing and documenting plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, supervising and mentoring staff, serving as Charge Nurse when needed, and performing advanced airway management including suctioning of pharyngeal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy tubes. The role requires competency in neuro assessments, care for ventilated and trached patients, and involvement in specialized cardiac units (e.g., LVAD/ECMO relevant devices) within a fast-paced ICU environment. BSN-preferred education and Connecticut RN licensure are emphasized, with continuous adherence to unit standards and professional behavior.
