Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float

ICU Float Registered Nurse provides and coordinates direct patient care on a nursing unit, with neuro-focused skills and responsibilities. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, implementing and evaluating care with the healthcare team, supervising and coordinating activities (including supervision of non-RN personnel and acting as charge nurse), and ensuring effective education and discharge planning. The role requires proficiency in neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, care of trached and ventilated patients, and the ability to perform specialized Neuro procedures and teaching through the Tia program. The RN will precept new staff, participate in performance metrics, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes across units as assigned.
