Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float

The Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care on the nursing unit, including supervision of non-RN personnel and potential charge nurse responsibilities. Responsibilities include developing and communicating plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, facilitating education for patients and families, and ensuring smooth operation of the department. Demonstrates competencies in neuro patient care, airway management, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), Halo brace care, and ventilator-related procedures. Provides preceptorship to new staff, participates in discharge planning, and supports performance expectations around customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and professional development. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred, proficiency with electronic health records, and BLS. Requires 1 year of acute nursing experience; Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred.
