Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float responsibilities include assessing and planning patient care, implementing and evaluating care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, supervising non-RN staff, and serving as a charge nurse. Requires competency in neuro and cardiac ICU care, airway and ventilator management, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and education of patients and families. Role emphasizes adherence to unit policies, performance of clinical duties across neuro and cardiothoracic ICU units, and potential involvement in critical care procedures and specialty units as needed. BSN preferred; CT RN licensure required; BCLS certification required within one month of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred or higher (education)
- BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
