Job Summary
Provide ICU nursing care focusing on neuro and postoperative patients, including ongoing assessment, development and communication of plans of care with the healthcare team, supervision of non-RN personnel, and serving as charge nurse when needed. Includes neuro-focused skills (neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support), education for patients and families, and support for care continuity across units. Requires BSN-preferred education, BLS, and proficiency with electronic health records; CT license required for practice in Connecticut, with ICU experience such as neonatal care and neuro procedures emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
