Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising patient care on the nursing unit, with clinical supervision of non-RN staff and potential charge nurse duties. Requires a Connecticut RN license; BSN is preferred. Must have at least 1 year of acute nursing experience. Skills include neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, care for trached patients, and familiarity with neuro procedures; teaching via the TIA program and precepting new staff. Other responsibilities include developing and documenting Plan of Care, coordinating with the healthcare team, ensuring education and discharge readiness, and maintaining high service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- 1 Year Acute RN Experience Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
