Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float

ICU Float Registered Nurse provides neurologically focused critical care support on an acute unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients throughout the continuum of care, developing and communicating individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and evaluating patient responses. The role may involve serving as preceptor to new staff and functioning as a charge nurse. Requires ability to perform neuro assessments, airway management for neuro patients, care for trached patients, and participation in neuro procedures. Competence in the care of patients on ventilators, halo brace management, and teaching through the Tia program; uses electronic patient records and supports performance in customer service, teamwork, and resource utilization.
