Job Summary
RN in ICU/Neuro unit provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervises non-RN personnel; serves as Charge Nurse; mentors/preceptors; develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team; educates patients and families; demonstrates Neuro-focused skills (neuro assessment, airway management, care for trached patient, suctioning, ventilator care) and familiarity with halo brace and related procedures; uses electronic patient records and adheres to unit policies to ensure high-quality care and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year acute nursing experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
