Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Heart Failure/HVC CTICU at YNHHS. Provides comprehensive nursing care on a specialized unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervision of non-RN staff; charge nurse responsibilities; precepting new staff; and collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include neuro assessments and care, airway management for neuro patients, care for trached patients, participation in educational initiatives, and support of the Cardiac ICU and related units. Requires BSN-preferred education, CT licensure, and BCLS certification; emphasizes integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion in line with organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
