Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care as part of Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) on the HVC Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care/Unit(s). Uphold ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ethics, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model while delivering patient-centered care. Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care; demonstrate leadership, delegation, collaboration, and effective communication to achieve quality outcomes. Maintain cultural congruence and incorporate patient values into holistic care; stay current with nursing standards and evidence-based practice. Licensure in Connecticut as an RN is required; BSN is preferred; current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required or obtained within one month of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
