Registered Nurse (RN) HVC

Registered Nurse (RN) for Heart and Vascular/Cardiac ICU units on the Connecticut team. Responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, precepting new staff, and serving as charge nurse. Demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management, care for tracheostomy patients, post-operative cardiac procedures, ventilation support, and use of specialized devices. Applies the organization’s values and adheres to professional standards and performance expectations. May require assignment to other units as needed to maintain staffing and service levels.
