Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Hospice Admissions for a part-time role. Responsibilities include evaluating patients for hospice eligibility and providing nursing care to patients and families across settings, maintaining patient confidentiality, respecting cultural differences, and aligning with Hospice Savannah values and standards. Requires GA RN license, BSN preferred, minimum one year RN experience in hospice/oncology/med-surg/home health, CPR, valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation; proficient in Microsoft Office and database use; ability to document accurately and timely; ability to travel to patients (driving up to 500+ miles per week).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- GA RN License
- Minimum of one year of RN experience in hospice, oncology, med-surg or home health
- Hospice or Oncology certification preferred
- Current CPR certification
- valid driver's license
- automobile Insurance and reliable transportation
- Ability to interact with patients, families, physicians, Hospice Savannah staff, and the community
- Customer service, assessment and documentation skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word and Outlook, and database knowledge
