Job Summary
Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort for residents through professional assessments, documentation, and management of assigned nursing units. Participate in developing and implementing resident care plans, including maintaining up-to-date MDS documentation and making revisions per facility policy. Conduct daily and periodic visits to monitor physical and mental conditions, perform routine nursing procedures in collaboration with physicians and families, and offer emotional support to residents and their families. Handle resident and visitor complaints, allegations, accidents, or incidents while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA. Submit required reports, including 24-hour and end-of-shift reports, narcotic counts, and medication destruction logs. Work evenings, part-time or full-time, with a sign-on bonus for full-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements
- Thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana
- Basic Computer knowledge and skills
- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines
