Job Summary
Provide specialized infusion therapy in patients' homes; administer IV infusion medications and antibiotics; perform vascular access procedures including peripheral IV insertion, port access, and management of PICC and central venous catheters; monitor patients during infusions and assess for adverse reactions; educate patients and caregivers on medication administration, infusion therapy, and catheter care; accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes; collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care; responsibilities include home-based care after hospital discharge, patient assessments, discharge coordination, and coaching families on the plan of care and home safety.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous IV infusion experience
- Proficiency with peripheral IV starts, port access, and central line management
- BLS certification
