Job Summary
Perform nursing assessments, verify physician orders, and establish peripheral IV access before administering specialty infusions such as IVIG, biologics, and hydration therapy. Program and monitor infusion pumps while monitoring vital signs and responding to infusion-related reactions. Educate patients and caregivers on medication management and follow-up care, then communicate clinical findings to the Director of Nursing and prescribing providers. Complete accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and payer requirements. Schedule includes 4–8 hour weekday visits with recurring weekly or monthly assignments. Compensation ranges from $50–$60/hour with mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of RN clinical experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong peripheral IV insertion skills
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Camden County
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
Desired Qualifications
- Home infusion nursing experience
- Experience with IV therapy or specialty infusion nursing
- Experience administering IVIG, biologics, IV antibiotics, or hydration therapy
- Experience using infusion pumps
- Experience caring for patients with PICC lines, Midlines, Implanted Ports, and Peripheral IVs
- CRNI certification
