Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-anesthesia care in the PACU. Responsibilities include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to complications. Provide initial wound care to the surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams. Maintain on-call availability during select non-business hours. Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team and consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and technical skills to independently deliver safe nursing care. Educate patients and families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up measures. Qualifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS within designated timeframes. The role supports self/preferential scheduling and is located at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
