Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Emergency Room on weekends providing patient-centered care and collaboration with the care team. Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, promptly responding to patient requests, and teaching patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures. Emphasizes adherence to nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage), advocacy for patients/families, and contributing to departmental performance and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- RN Licensure
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
