Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the ICU at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant with 20-bed Medical ICU, 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, and a focus on high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, collaborating with the patient care team, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork, and delivering safe nursing care while promoting a positive image of nursing. Unit offers dedicated preceptors, specialized classes, and leadership development opportunities; comprehensive orientation and mentorship provided. Qualifications include an accredited nursing program (diploma/associate/baccalaureate), at least 6 months of RN clinical experience, Texas RN license or multi-state compact license (with Texas licensure within 90 days), and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
