Job Summary
Monitor patients' medical status, signs, and symptoms of withdrawal while providing direct care for medical examinations, treatment of conditions, and communicable disease reporting. Work under supervision to implement medical orders, communicate with providers regarding patient concerns, and develop or review medical policies and procedures. Execute public health education protocols for tuberculosis, STIs, hepatitis, and HIV prevention in coordination with the Medical Director. Provide medical consultation, assessment, and treatment planning consistent with agency policy. Serves on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse currently registered by the New York State Department.
- At least one year of experience, or comparable training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency.
- Basic computer skills required.
