Registered Nurse (RN) - Heart Failure

Registered Nurse (RN) on a Cardiac ICU/Neuro-focused unit responsible for assessment, plan of care, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; coordinates with healthcare team, documents care plans, provides patient and family education, serves as preceptor to new staff and may function as charge nurse; responsibilities include neuro-focused skills such as neuro assessments, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and post-operative care for cardiac patients, with opportunities to gain experience in advanced heart failure management and devices (IONP/Impella/VADs) as described in the unit details. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Connecticut RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification; professional development and adherence to the organization’s values are emphasized.
