Job Summary
New Graduate RNs welcomed to apply for Vizent Residency Program. Intensive, hands-on orientation and training designed to transition new graduates from academia into clinical practice, under supervision of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator in a married state preceptor model. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and documenting individualized care plans, coordinating and implementing care with the healthcare team, evaluating patient responses and readiness for discharge, and providing patient/family education. Positions available in Med/Surg units (Cardiac, Float Pool, Neuro, Oncology, Ortho, Respiratory/Renal). Benefits include medical coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement/loan repayment. Requires graduation from nursing program and CT RN license; BLS; ability to use computer systems; may require varying shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
- BLS Required
- Proficient in use of computer software including electronic patient records
- Experience with RN usually not exceeding one year
