Job Summary
Lead shift supervision for the Wellness Department by coordinating resident care, delegating tasks to RCAs, CNAs, and CMA, and monitoring overall shift functioning. Administer medications per physician orders, maintain accurate MAR documentation, and conduct required narcotic counts. Act as team leader by coaching staff, addressing disciplinary issues per protocol, and responding to emergencies with a calm demeanor. Manage resident charts, transcribe orders, operate medical equipment, and monitor e-call systems to ensure timely caregiver response. Conduct change-of-shift reports, orient new associates, and report significant health changes to the physician. Maintain security of medication carts and adhere to CDC and OSHA safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Must be a licensed nurse in state where you work
- Minimum of two years nursing experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred
- Dementia care experience preferred
