Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned oncology patients while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This role requires a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident to work nights (1900-0730) at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. The position involves pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. We offer an ASN to BSN bridging program, a BSN to MSN bridging program, and various sign-on bonuses for qualified candidates. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
