Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for a group of residents under the supervision of the Unit Manager or Administrator. Manage the care environment to maintain safety while supervising nursing assistants and helpers. Adhere to North Shore's policies, the State Nurse Practice Act, and JCAHO standards. Calculate drug dosages and operate necessary equipment such as feeding pumps and medication carts. Relate positively with residents, families, and staff while maintaining CPR certification and English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Ability to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
