Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate resident plans of care while maintaining safety standards and supervising nursing assistants. Manage the care environment, adhere to North Shore policies and the State Nurse Practice Act, and calculate drug dosages using necessary equipment. Provide direct care under Unit Manager supervision, ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards and effective communication with families and staff. Full-time, part-time, and casual shifts available with health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Ability to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
