Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate resident plans of care while maintaining safety standards and supervising nursing assistants. Manage the care environment, adhere to state Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards, and calculate drug dosages using necessary equipment. Provide direct nursing care to a group of residents under Unit Manager supervision, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. Requires active RN license, CPR certification, and strong teamwork skills; new graduates welcome with training. Full-time, part-time, and casual shifts available with flexible scheduling and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Ability to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
