Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate resident care plans under Unit Manager supervision while maintaining safety and adhering to state Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards. Supervise nursing assistants and helpers, manage medication dosages, and utilize equipment such as feeding pumps and oxygen devices. Engage positively with residents, families, volunteers, and staff while documenting care activities and following all facility policies. Requires active RN license, CPR certification, and English proficiency; new graduates welcome with training.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Ability to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
