Job Summary
RN to provide 24/7 geriatric nursing care in a skilled nursing facility. This full-time night position offers 12-hour shifts from 6PM to 6AM, three days per week. Responsibilities include ordering, preparing, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed; notifying the resident's physician or family members of changes in condition; providing nursing care such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressing changes, and irrigations; continuous observation and monitoring of seriously ill residents; advocating for residents and ensuring care aligns with the care plan; and accurate timely charting. The role supports resident well-being in a long-term care setting with teamwork and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in good standing
- Effective communication
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
