Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shift (7AM-7PM) at Singing River Gulfport Hospital in Mississippi. Provides patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the MS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Nursing Scope and Standards, and ANA Code of Ethics; supports care delivery across specialties with required certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP as applicable). Requires NLN nursing program graduate and current Mississippi RN license, with BCLS certification on hire and de-escalation training completed within 90 days. Minimum 1 year inpatient experience preferred; ongoing professional development and certifications are outlined for specialty areas. Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a hospital environment are essential; responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, coordination with care teams, and adherence to safety and infection-control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from NLN School of Nursing
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi
- BCLS certification upon hire
- Specialty area certifications as listed (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP) with timelines (e.g., up to 18 months for TNCC in ED)
- Minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience in the past five (5) years or evidence of a successful refresher program
- Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days)
