Job Summary
Provide patient care on the General Surgery Medical-Surgical inpatient unit using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while adhering to Mercy Hospital South's mission, values, and service standards. Full-time day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
